Scope of the Conference

The conference welcomes papers/posters related to waste management-based projects and novel research outcomes. Papers dealing with one or more of the following topics will be considered for the conference:

 

  • Sustainable Waste Management Technologies

Sustainable waste management technologies related to Municipal Solid Waste, Wastewater, Agriculture, Food, Medical, Industrial, Plastic, WEE and Constructions Waste.  

  • Waste Materials for Sustainable Energy and Environment

Waste to Energy, Bioenergy and Biofuels, Biomethanol, Waste to H2, Sustainable Packaging, Biopolymer, Bioplastic, Treatment using water materials, Nanomaterials and Nanocomposites prepared from waste materials.

  • Smart Technologies, Innovation and AI Applications in Waste Management

Smart water pins, Waste level sensors, AI recycling robots, Recycling Apps, etc.

  • Waste Management Strategies in Industry

Sustainable practices in Industry, Zero water initiatives etc

The International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management  is organized by the College of Applied Sciences and Pharmacy of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS). It’s scheduled to be held on February 24-26, 2025 at Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat.
